Felice Silverman, FIIDA

Felice Silverman is the President and a Principal at Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. She has been practicing interior design for the past twenty-five years, with a focus on the design of spaces for education, children, health care, fitness and commercial office interiors.

 

Felice received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Harvard University and a Professional Certificate in Interior Design from the Boston Architectural Center.

 

Felice is NCIDQ certified, and is the President of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She has served on IIDA’s Board since 2009, and was the 2006-2007 President of IIDA’s New England Chapter. In 2009, Felice was honored to receive IIDA New England’s Leader’s Breakfast Honoree Award. Felice has served on the Board of Trustees of the Boston Architectural College, and has been the Chair of the BAC’s Interior Design Advisory Board and Student Development Committee. She has been an instructor, advisor and guest critic at the Boston Architectural College, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Mt. Ida College and The New England School of Art and Design.

Thomas Trykowski, AIA, NCARB

Thomas Trykowski is a Principal and the Treasurer at Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. He has been practicing architecture for the past twenty-five years for both local and national clients. Mr. Trykowski has experience in all phases of the design and construction process in a variety of industries including commercial building projects and interiors, multi-family housing projects, healthcare, and specialty retail and restaurant projects.

 

Thomas received his Associate of Architectural Engineering from Roger Williams University and his Bachelor of Architecture at the Boston Architectural College.

 

He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) and is NCARB Certified. Thomas has taught at the Boston Architectural College and the Wentworth Institute of Technology. He is licensed to practice architecture in twelve states (MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DE, VA, IL, MN, TX, FL) and the District of Columbia.

David Silverman, AIA

David Silverman is a registered architect and Principal at Silverman Trykowski Associates. Prior to joining STA, David directed map-lab, a creative studio committed to ideas that think beyond the discipline of architecture. He has over 25 years of experience working with higher education clients to create thoughtfully designed learning and research spaces.

 

David received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Boston Architectural College.

 

David is active in the design community as an educator. He has remained involved at the BAC serving as faculty, as a college trustee and on the Alumni Board. David founded the Urban Neighborhood Design Alliance, a non-profit organization providing educational initiatives for youth. He serves as a board member of Design Museum Boston and Learning By Design and is also on the Advisory Board for the Chicago based Integrated School of Building. He has served as a design critic at Roger Williams University, the New England School of Art and Design, and Wentworth Institute of Technology. In 2012, David received the Award for Excellence in Teaching given by the BSA + AIA College of Fellows.

Luis F. Araque

Luis Fernando Araque is a Designer for Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. His interest lies on inclusive/universal design. He brings his knowledge and desire to promote an awareness of the importance of thinking about every possible user from the ground stage of design.

Luis is currently a Bachelor of Interior Architecture candidate at the Boston Architectural College.

While attending the BAC, Luis has served as the Vice President-IIDA of the Interior Design Society student organization. He currently serves as Secretary to the Student Government Council. Luis is also active in the Boston design community as volunteer to the BSA Common Boston committee and member of Design Museum Boston.

Nathan Bonaiuto

Nathan Bonaiuto is a project manager / designer for Silverman Trykowski Associates Inc. His interest lies in smart sustainable Architecture with a focus on place, culture, and environment.

 

Nathan earned his Master’s Degree in Architecture from Roger Williams University.

 

His experience is wide ranging having previously worked on everything from small residential additions and single family homes, to large commercial buildings, restaurants, and industrial plants. Nathan is a member of the US Green Building Council and has been certified as a LEED Green Associate.

Josh W. Castellano

Josh Castellano is a Designer for Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. As an STA team member, he brings his enthusiasm and experience to every project he works on. Josh has a particular interest in software development and his passion for thoughtful design has led him to seek a degree in architecture.

 

Josh is currently a candidate for a Bachelors of Architecture at the Boston Architectural College.

 

While attending the BAC, Josh has participated on the BAC’s Student Government Council. He has served as a volunteer on the council’s communications committee, has been a Student Representative and Treasurer and has held a seat on the BAC’s Finance Committee. Josh is a team leader of STA’s technology team.

Andrea Dobrzelewski

Andrea Dobrzelewski is a Designer/Project manager for Silverman Trykowski Associates. She attended Boston Architectural college where she studied Architecture and was the recipient of the Horace Bradt Scholarship, the Glassman Bailey Scholarship, the Mark Walter Young Traveling Scholarship and the Frederick Norris Award.

 

Andrea is passionate about architectural history/theory and its relationship to current materials and methods.  She is inspired by understanding how things connect to each other physically and philosophically.

 

Andrea is a also bicycle advocate and has worked in the Industrial Design field to improve upon Urban Design in relation to cycling infrastructure.

Jeff Hernon

Jeff Hernon is a Project Manager at Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. The majority of his professional experience prior to joining our team has included automobile dealerships, College Dining Facilities and Renovations to Historic Mill Buildings. At his last place of employment, his major task was to produce eye popping visual graphics such as renderings and animations that would be used for fundraising purposes to fund the construction of a Performing Arts Building.

 

Jeff received a Bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology as well as his Masters Degree in Architecture from the Boston Architectural College.

 

He is currently taking the Osha 30 hour construction course and studying for his Construction Supervisors License. He is also a candidate for the Architectural Registration Exam, which he plans to begin taking this winter.

Brianna Souza

Brianna Souza is a Designer for Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. She is interested in universal and sustainable/green design elements; she is planning to live in a self-sustaining house herself. She strives to bring functionality as well as creativity to her designs. 

 

Brianna recently graduated with honors from The New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design. While at Suffolk, she joined ASID to be part of the expanding design world.

Hannah Smith

Hannah is a Designer at Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. As an STA team member, she brings excitement and an eagerness to learn to every project she is involved with. Hannah aims to create spaces that exhibit universal design, challenge creative limits and enhance each client’s unique characteristics.

 

Hannah is currently a Bachelor of Interior Architecture candidate at The Boston Architectural College and was awarded IIDANE’s 2015 Education Fund Student Scholarship. She studied Visual Communication Design at Stevenson University before realizing her passion for developing physical space.

 

While attending the BAC, Hannah has acted as a member of the school’s Interior Architecture Collaborative student organization and is the 2015-2016 Vice President, participated actively in the BAC’s team for the IIDANE Fashion Show and worked on a pro-bono Gateway Project where she held the main interiors role.

Andy Vieira

Andy Vieira is a Designer at Silverman Trykowski Associates, Inc. Having always been passionate about the user experience, Andy embraces the challenging task of creating powerful environments through effective space planning and careful selection of materials, furnishings and lighting.

 

Andy received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Sao Paulo State University in Brazil and his Master of Interior Design degree from the Boston Architectural College. Since graduation, Andy has been teaching Studio and Design Representation at the BAC graduate program, and working on corporate and commercial projects.

 

As a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, he has been exposed to different cultures living in South and North Americas, through his education at UNESP and The BAC, and traveling around the world. His diversified cultural background provides him with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal efficiently with varied environments and clientele.
