Get to know Isioma Uzor

What made you decide to become a designer?

As a kid, I always hated ugly (“self-defined”) buildings and I couldn’t understand why people built buildings the way they do. I would always imagine what the space would look like if I made changes to the space or building in general but that was just childish curiosity. I enjoy the work I do and the people I work with, not everyone gets to do what they love and I’m happy I do. I always knew I wanted to be an architect and I am working towards being one.

I would love to be any bird; maybe a Crane, because I would love to know what it feels like to fly through the skies.
